KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Some patients treated by a Tennessee dentist salvage been told to salvage tested for HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.
The Tennessee Division of Smartly being issued the advice after finding that Knoxville dentist Clarence “Buzz” Nabers didn’t be obvious that appropriate sterilization of dental equipment, records retail outlets reported.
The advice modified into included in a letter Nabers sent to patients who visited his notice between Sept. 15, 2016, and Sept. 15, 2019.
Nabers modified into fined $11,000 for the imperfect sterilization and his license modified into placed on probation. Nabers said previously that he has implemented protocols to neatly matched the issues.
The letter says the probability of being exposed to any an infection is “very a ways-off” and there haven’t been any experiences of sickness.
